* In order for students to be successful in 6th grade this year, it is imperative that they come to class every day prepared and ready to learn. This includes bringing any books or assigned readings, homework, loose-leaf paper, two (2) SHARPENED pencils, and a focused, inquisitive mind!
* Throughout the year, students will be given ample opportunities to participate in a variety of activities such as whole-class discussions and debates; individual and group projects; independent work and tests; Science Lab and Math investigations; and that’s just the beginning! For each of these activities, there are clear behavioral and academic expectations required of the students. All student expectations for any given activity will be modeled, discussed, and posted in the front of the room on the CHAMPS wall.
* It is the responsibility of everyone in our classroom to help create and maintain a positive learning environment in which all members feel safe, secure, and valued as unique individuals.
